Join March of Dimes Walk for Babies on April 11

Victor Valley Global Medical Center (VVGMC) is continuing as platinum sponsor of the 2015 March of Dimes March for Babies for the walk at Victor Valley College, set for April 11. Because of their compassion and teamwork with community leaders, business partners, and dedicated individuals, the 2014 High Desert walk-a-thon exceeded the $70,000 goal set by March of Dimes organizers, and raised over $100,000. Suzanne Richards, CEO of Victor Valley Global Medical Center, is again acting as chairperson for the nation’s first and largest charity walking event. She eagerly took on the role to raise awareness and important funding to provide for babies born premature or with birth defects. March of Dimes helps fund lifesaving research and educational programs aimed at helping moms have healthy babies. In the Victor Valley and Barstow areas, 11 percent of babies are born prematurely. “As a healthcare leader, this campaign gives me a unique opportunity to help the High Desert community I love. I can’t think of a more important cause than our babies and their families,” said Richards. “Victor Valley Global Medical Center is extremely proud to partner with the incredible March of Dimes community. As this year’s March for Babies Victor Valley Chair, I am honored to give back to an organization that does so much to make a difference in the lives of babies.” The walk is at Victor Valley College, with check-in at 7:00 a.m. and the walk starts at 9:00 a.m. Victor Valley residents can sign up at
