Seniors Make Backpacks for Samaratins' Christmas Shoebox Program

There’s a group of seniors in the High Desert that is working on a charitable project. The Quilter Piece Corps group is making backpacks to go inside of Christmas shoe boxes. With the help of Jess Ranch Church, which received a donation of material to make over 250 backpacks, the group meets at Moore’s Sewing Center in Victorville to do the sewing. Moore’s donates use of a table and sewing machines for the project. Each year, Samaritan’s Purse delivers millions of gift-filled shoe boxes to children all over the world.
