The Hot Rod Halloween Fest was held at Hesperia Lake Park on November 2. A fun afternoon of free candy and carnival games gave kids a safe trick or treat venue. It also featured a combination of classic cars, carnival games, music, vendors, and a fireworks as a special treat.
The Route 103.1 co-presented the event, along with Desert Valley Hospital, City of Hesperia, Hesperia Recreation & Park District, and Rancho Motor Company. The classic car show benefitted the Hesperia Police Activities League, and entries received a City of Hesperia 25th Anniversary dash plaque.
Boxing, martial arts and acrobat demonstrations were featured along with old-fashioned games like bean bag toss, fishing, cakewalk, bounce houses, and ring toss.
Usually held at Hesperia Civic Plaza Park, this year’s event was relocated to Hesperia Lake Park to include the rescheduled Hesperia Days fireworks show.
